threeuniverses: Watch Charlie Kaufman deliver his 2011 BAFTA and BFI Screenwriters Lecture. “I do believe you have a wound too. I do believe it is both specific to you and common to everyone. This really isn't that difficult to grasp.
tzikeh: 1) Benedict Cumberbatch gave a phenomenal performance as Khan Noonien Singh in Star Trek: Into Darkness. 2) The casting of a white man as Khan Noonien Singh in 2013 is HIGHLY PROBLEMATIC. 3) Both of these things can be true at the same time. 4) No, really; they can.

Notes on writing action.
scriptpeer: I don’t personally write action films but if I were going to there are certain steps I would take to really make each sequence pop: First off it doesn’t matter how amazing a sequence is, if it’s six to eight lines back to back it’s going to turn the person reading your script off.  Especially if they pop open your script hoping to read an action film. With action scenes you...

Do Right Woman, Do Right Man
andythanfiction: You know, I could make a 4K word essay-meta out of this…breaking down the matter into detailed lists and criteria and tropes and parsing out whether this specific woman’s death was strictly vital to the narrative and whether that woman’s portrayal was stereotypical due to the demands of television or in a problematic fashion or both or whether this female character earned...

littleizzylizzy: no guys seriously, I used to be very self concious of my eye brows like it was a big deal also that, and lip hair. My sister used to mock me and tell me I had a mustache YES! It is always a problem for me when I want to shape eyebrows. They’re so large…and unruly…but you can’t do anything with them! My eyebrows don’t make sense.
